Free-agent outfielder Nick Markakis agreed to a four-year deal with the Atlanta Braves, according to multiple reports.

The 31-year-old former Baltimore Orioles outfielder hit .276 with 14 home runs and 50 RBIs over 642 at-bats last year.

Markakis, an Atlanta area native, joins former Orioles teammate Jim Johnson, who signed a one-year deal with the Braves on Wednesday.

The right-hander posted a 7.14 ERA and two saves in 38 appearances for the Oakland Athletics last season before being released on Aug. 1. He signed with Detroit five days later and appeared in 16 games, going 1-0 with a 6.92 ERA.

He posted 101 saves over the 2012-13 seasons with Baltimore.
