PLAYERS TO WATCH
–TE Noah Togiai made his season debut against Arizona after missing the first three games with a knee injury, but he did not have any stats. Coach Jonathan Smith said the junior, OSU’s leading receiver in 2017, looked “rusty.”
–RB Jermar Jefferson was held to a season-low 4.32 yards per carry against Arizona but still remains among the most productive freshman rushers in the country. He’s averaging 118.3 yards per game and 6.39 yards per carry.
–WR Trevon Bradford, who returned from a shoulder injury that caused him to miss the Week 3 loss to Nevada, had five catches for 29 yards and a touchdown against Arizona. The junior has four of Oregon State’s seven receiving TDs.
–LB Hamilcar Rashed Jr. posted 2.5 tackles for loss on Saturday, giving him a team-best 4.5 for the season. The sophomore from Phoenix will look to build on that performance at Arizona State while playing in front of friends and family.
SERIES HISTORY: Oregon State is 13-28-1 all-time against Arizona State, having lost three of the last five meetings with the Sun Devils, including 40-24 at home last November. The Beavers are 4-19 in the series on the road, last winning in Tempe in 2009.
QUOTE TO NOTE: “You’re not going to see anyone who has played in all four games right now get pulled and not play.” — OSU coach Jonathan Smith, referring to a new redshirt rule that allows players to appear in up to four games throughout a season and retain their eligibility.
