PLAYERS TO WATCH

–LB Peyton Pelluer played his 49th career game in the win over Stanford last week. WR Gabe Marks and DL Daniel Ekuale hold the school record with 51 games played. Pelluer recorded seven tackles, increasing his career total to 315, 10th-most in school history. He also recorded his fourth sack of the season and forced his first fumble of the season

–QB Gardner Minshew II, a graduate transfer from East Carolina, threw three touchdown passes against the Cardinal, increasing his season total to 26, tied for eighth-most in school history.

–PK Blake Mazza’s 42-yard field goal with 19 seconds left at Stanford last week was Washington State’s first game-winning kick in the final minute since Andrew Furney’s game-winning field goal in overtime of the 2012 Apple Cup against Washington.

–WR Dezmon Patmon set career highs with 10 receptions and 127 yards, his second career 100-yard game, in the win over Stanford.

SERIES HISTORY: Washington State trails its series with California 47-27-5 with the Golden Bears dominating as of late, winning 11 of the last 13 games between the schools. The Cougars routed Cal 56-21 two years ago in Pullman, Wash., ending a five-game losing streak to the Golden Bears there dating to 2006.
