PLAYERS TO WATCH

–QB Quentin Harris makes his first ACC start in the Virginia Tech game. He’s 2-0 since filling in for injured QB Daniel Jones. Harris threw for three touchdowns in his first career start at Baylor and followed that with a solid outing by accounting for four touchdowns against North Carolina Central.

–RB Brittain Brown had touchdowns rushing and receiving against North Carolina Central last week. Both plays covered more than 40 yards. Brown was held to a career-low minus-1 yard last year at Virginia Tech.

–LB Ben Humphreys shares the ACC lead in tackles with 32 after four games. Two years ago at home against Virginia Tech, he posted a career-high 16 tackles.

–WR T.J. Rahming has 11 consecutive games with three or more catches. With 195 career catches, the senior is second nationally in that category among players on Football Bowl Subdivision teams. Yet in three career outings against Virginia Tech, he has a total of three receptions for 12 yards.

SERIES HISTORY: Virginia Tech leads Duke 16-9, including last year’s 24-3 home victory. Duke is 2-7 at home against the Hokies, though the Blue Devils haven’t won a home matchup since 1981.
