Washington State player notes for Feb 26th, 2019

Andre Dillard – Noteworthy
Ten bold predictions for the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine: Wide bodies from the West will wow…While the athletic testing of skill-position players is far more entertaining from a fan’s perspective, many of the best players in this draft will weigh in north of 250 pounds. And some of the best big athletes of this year’s class played their college ball out west, failing to earn the same media attention as some of their peers. Don’t be surprised when former PAC-12 standouts Andre Dillard (Washington State), Kaleb McGary (Washington), Renell Wren (Arizona State) and Justin Hollins (Oregon) turn in some of the best numbers in their respective position groups, making a case that each of them should hear his name called on Day Two of the draft, if not sooner. – Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

Jalen Thompson – Noteworthy
The public will be able to get a peek at Washington State coach Mike Leach roaming the classroom instead of the sidelines this spring. Leach will team up with a county official to teach a non-credit course called Leadership Lessons in Insurgent Warfare and Football Strategies beginning March 27. The final session on April 23 will be livestreamed and available to anyone who wants to watch. The seminar’s classroom sessions are limited to 40 current Washington State students. Interested students will need to apply through an online process that opens Tuesday. Leach led the Cougars to a school-record 11 victories last season, including a win over Iowa State in the Alamo Bowl. He is 49-40 overall in seven seasons at Washington State. – AP College Football
