RB Adrian Peterson was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday. Peterson, who received the honor for the ninth time in his career, rushed for a season-high 149 yards on 26 carries in Sunday’s 20-13 win over the New York Giants. The 33-year-old highlighted the performance with his second touchdown of the day — a 64-yard score — late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix – Noteworthy
S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, acquired by the Washington Redskins on Tuesday from the Green Bay Packers, said he will be ready to start on Sunday against Atlanta alongside safety D.J. Swearinger.
Several media reports analyzing the deal claimed it will give the Redskins the best safety tandem in the NFL. “Check this out, all right? I’ve got practice in about an hour. I came here to play, I came here to work,” Clinton-Dix said at an introductory news conference at Redskins Park. If that’s on special teams or just helping contribute to this team any way I can, then No. 20 is going to be suited up this weekend. And you can bet that.” Clinton-Dix is ready to step right in and replace second-year safety Montae Nicholson, who is out because of an injury. That’s exactly what Redskins head coach Jay Gruden is expecting. “I imagine that he’ll be up to speed quickly,” Redskins coach Jay Gruden said, who added that Nicholson underwent “a small procedure on his hip.”
Jamison Crowder – Important – Injury
WR Jamison Crowder (ankle) still has not returned to practice. He has missed three games in a row since getting hurt in an Oct. 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Matt Ioannidis – Noteworthy
DE Matt Ioannidis has already set his career-high in sacks through seven games with 5.5. He had 2.5 in Sunday’s win over the New York Giants.
Byron Marshall – Important – Injury – Transaction
RB Byron Marshall was designated for return from reserve/injured by the Redskins Wednesday (Oct. 31). He is eligible to be activated to play in two weeks, but can practice for a maximum of 21 days.
