Demetrius Rhaney – Noteworthy – Transaction
C Demetrius Rhaney was signed by the Redskins Wednesday (Dec. 5). His contract had been terminated by the Redskins Sept. 1.
Dustin Hopkins – Noteworthy
K Dustin Hopkins hit two field goals against the Eagles on Monday and with 394 points he passed Hall of Fame wide receiver Art Monk (390) for sixth on the franchise’s all-time points lost.
Josh Johnson – Noteworthy – Transaction
QB Josh Johnson was signed by the Washington Redskins, the team announced Wednesday. The move for Johnson was necessitated after quarterback Colt McCoy sustained a fractured right fibula during the final play of the first quarter of Monday’s 28-13 setback to the Philadelphia Eagles. McCoy previously replaced Alex Smith, who is out for the season with a broken leg.
Matt Ioannidis – Noteworthy – Injury
DE Matt Ioannidis (shin) missed practice on Wednesday. He did not play against Philadelphia with that lingering injury.
Quinton Dunbar – Important – Injury – Transaction
CB Quinton Dunbar (leg nerve) was placed on reserve/injured by the Redskins Wednesday (Dec. 5). While he would normally eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and playing in eight weeks, the first game he would be available would be the Super Bowl.
Tony Bergstrom – Noteworthy – Injury
LG Tony Bergstrom (ankle) missed Wednesday’s practice. His ankle was rolled up on during the 28-13 loss to Philadelphia on Monday.
