Charles Snowden – Noteworthy
SEPT 24 ACC LINEBACKER OF THE WEEK: Charles Snowden, Virginia, So., OLB, Silver Spring, Md.,…Snowden led a UVA defense that held Louisville without a touchdown in an ACC game for the first time since the Cardinals joined the league while posting a 27-3 win on Saturday…Registered a team-high eight tackles, a sack, another tackle for loss, two pass break-ups, a fumble recovery and an interception…The two forced turnovers led to 10 UVA points…Keyed a Cavalier defense that held Louisville to 214 yards of total offense and only 66 rushing yards. – ACC Football

Juan Thornhill – Noteworthy
SEPT 10 ACC DEFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK: Juan Thornhill, Virginia, Sr., SS, Altavista, Va.,…Thornhill had several key plays in UVA’s 20-16 loss at Indiana…He finished the game with seven tackles, including five solo stops…He blocked a PAT in the first quarter and returned it for a two-point conversion…Thornhill later intercepted a Hoosier pass in the third quarter. – ACC Football

Olamide Zaccheaus – Noteworthy
SEPT 17 ACC RECEIVER OF THE WEEK: Olamide Zaccheaus, Virginia, Sr., HB, Plainfield, N.J.,…Zaccheaus amassed a school-record 247 receiving yards in UVA’s 45-31 win against Ohio in a game played at Vanderbilt Stadium…It marked the most receiving yards by an FBS player this season and ties for the 10th best single-game total in ACC history…In setting the UVA single-game record, Zaccheaus eclipsed the 241 receiving yards by Ken Shelton in 1974 against William & Mary…Zaccheaus had scoring catches of 86 and 77 yards…The 86-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter was a career long and his third reception of 80 yards or more, which extends his UVA career record. – ACC Football
