Jabir Daughtry-Frye – Noteworthy
OCT 1 SUN BELT OFFENSIVE PLYER OF THE WEEK: Jabir Daughtry-Frye, Troy (So., RB, Pensacola, Fla.)…Troy’s Jabir Daughtry-Frye touched the football just seven times offensively in the Trojans win against Coastal Carolina, but made all of them count as he rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown on just five carries (28.0 yards per carry) and caught two passes for 36 yards and a touchdown. All told, Daughtry-Frye accounted for 211 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns (having also returned a kickoff 35 yards). He had a 35-yard touchdown reception and a 74-yard touchdown run in the game and added a 39-yard rush. Daughtry-Frye combined with B.J. Smith to become the first Troy teammates since 2002 to top the 100-yard mark in the same game. Additionally, Troy set the school record averaging 9.1 yards per rush in the game. – Sun Belt Football

Kaleb Barker – Noteworthy
SEPT 24 SUN BELT OFFENSIVE PLYER OF THE WEEK: Kaleb Barker, Troy (Jr., QB, Decatur, Ala.)…Kaleb Barker accounted for four touchdowns and 323 yards of total offense as Troy defeated ULM on Saturday and won for the first time in Monroe since 2001. Barker completed 82.1 percent of his passes (23-of-28) for 273 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 15 times for 50 yards. He became the first Troy quarterback in three years to rush for multiple touchdowns in a game and at one point completed 14 consecutive pass attempts. Barker has completed 70.3 percent of his passes this season and has accounted for 10 total touchdowns. – Sun Belt Football

Marcus Jones – Noteworthy
OCT 1 SUN BELT SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Marcus Jones, Troy (So., KR, Enterprise, Ala.)…Marcus Jones returned his fourth career kickoff for a touchdown and third in his career against Coastal Carolina. After returning the opening two kickoffs last year for scores, Jones took the opening kickoff of the game on Saturday to the house for a 96-yard score. Only a sophomore, Jones is already Troy’s all-time leader in career kickoff returns for touchdowns. – Sun Belt Football

Tron Folsom – Noteworthy
SEPT 17 SUN BELT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tron Folsom, Troy (Jr., LB, Alma, Ga.)…Tron Folsom led the Trojan defense for the second straight week – this time with a game-high 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a key pass break up in Troy’s victory at Nebraska. Folsom led a unit that forced three turnovers and held Nebraska to just 364 yards of total offense as Troy won a Power Five road game for the second straight season. Folsom’s two tackles for loss were part of 10 from the Troy defense. – Sun Belt Football

Tyler Sumpter – Noteworthy
SEPT 17 SUN BELT SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Tyler Sumpter, Troy (So., K/P, Hoover, Ala.)…Troy’s Tyler Sumpter averaged 53.8 yards per punt, just one yard shy of a school record, booted a field goal and was true on three extra points in Troy’s victory at Nebraska. The Cornhuskers were not able to return any of his five punts and he finished with a 49.8 net in the game. Sumpter’s first punt of the game led to Troy flipping the field with a 79-yard punt to open the game; it was the longest in Troy’s FBS history and second longest in its DI history. – Sun Belt Football
