Texas player notes for Mar 5th, 2019

Parker Braun – Noteworthy
Texas offensive line coach Herb Hand scoured the graduate transfer market last season and found Calvin Anderson, a plug-and-play tackle from Rice. Hand has done it again this offseason. Georgia Tech offensive lineman Parker Braun committed to UT on Sunday, according to Orangebloods. Braun, a first-team All-ACC pick last season, will be immediately eligible after enrolling at UT as a graduate transfer. Some recruiting sites labeled Braun (6-foot-3, 280 pounds) as the best offensive lineman on the graduate transfer market. He played three seasons of high school football in Florida and then finished in Hallsville, located in East Texas. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution labeled Braun as “probably the Yellow Jackets’ best player on the 2018 team” and among the top three offensive linemen in Paul Johnson’s tenure at Georgia Tech. Braun played in 32 career games with Georgia Tech. He majored in literature, media and communications and was twice named to the ACC academic honor roll. – Austin American Statesman
