OCT 15 MOUNTAIN WEST SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: KAELIN HIMPHILL, SAN DIEGO STATE, Sophomore, Linebacker, Hillsboro, Oregon/Liberty HS…In the Aztecs’ victory against Air Force, blocked a punt with 16 second left in the first half. This was the first blocked punt of his career…The blocked kick was scooped up by teammate Trenton Thompson and returned for a touchdown, giving San Diego State a 14-9 lead at half…This was San Diego State’s first blocked punt since 2014. – Mountain West Football

OCT 15 MOUNTAIN WEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: KYAHVA TEZINO, SAN DIEGO STATE, Junior, Linebacker, Los Angeles, California/Salesian HS…Led an Aztec defense that limited Air Force to only 17 points in a home win (21-17) last Friday. SDSU held the Falcons to 276 yards of total offense, which was 94 yards below their season average…Recorded a season-and game-high 15 tackles, including 10 solo stops, while adding one pass breakup and a quarterback hurry…The 15 total tackles were the second-most in his career. – Mountain West Football
