B.J. Finney – Noteworthy – Injury
OL B.J. Finney has a pectoral injury and did not practice Wednesday.

Ben Roethlisberger – Noteworthy
QB Ben Roethlisberger said he will continue to criticize teammates as warranted given his standing with the team. “I think I have earned the right to be able to do that with as long as I have been here and I’ll just be just as critical of myself (in the media), as well,” the 36-year-old Roethlisberger said Wednesday, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Speaking on 93.7 the Fan in Pittsburgh, Roethlisberger took issue with wide receiver Antonio Brown’s route running on a play that resulted in a late-game interception in Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Bud Dupree – Noteworthy – Injury
OLB Bud Dupree suffered a pectoral injury against Denver and did not practice Wednesday.

Eli Rogers – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Eli Rogers of the Steelers, out since sustaining a torn ACL in his right knee during a 45-42 divisional round playoff loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in January, has been cleared to practice
Rogers must be either activated by the Steelers or placed on injured reserve by Dec. 19. Although the Steelers did not tender Rogers a restricted free agent contract offer during the offseason, he signed on the first day of training camp, July 25, and was placed on the preseason PUP list. Rogers also was suspended one week for a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy. The 25-year-old Rogers was signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville in 2016 and was Pittsburgh’s No. 2 receiver as a rookie with 48 receptions for 594 yards and three touchdowns.

Eli Rogers – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Eli Rogers practiced Wednesday for the first time all season.
Rogers is on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury that he suffered in a playoff game against the Jaguars in January. The Steelers must decide within 21 days if they are going to activate him to the 53-man roster or keep him on PUP.

Marcus Gilbert – Noteworthy – Injury
T Marcus Gilbert, who missed the past five games with a knee injury, did not practice Wednesday.

Morgan Burnett – Noteworthy – Injury
S Morgan Burnett did not practice Wednesday due to a back injury.

Stephon Tuitt – Noteworthy – Injury
DE Stephon Tuitt, who missed the past two games with an elbow injury, practiced Wednesday on a limited basis.

Vance McDonald – Noteworthy – Injury
TE Vance McDonald injured his hip against Denver, and did not practice Wednesday.

Xavier Grimble – Noteworthy – Injury
TE Xavier Grimble, who entered the concussion protocol after the Denver game, went through a full practice Wednesday.

Eli Rogers – Important – Injury – Transaction
WR Eli Rogers was returned to practice by the Steelers Wednesday (Nov. 28) and remains on reserve/physically unable to perform. He is eligible to practice for 21 days at which point the Steelers can activate him, release him or keep him on reserve/PUP for the rest of the season.
