Carson Wentz – Important – Injury
QB Carson Wentz did not practice on Wednesday due to a back injury that has raised concerns about the availability of the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback for the rest of the season. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Wentz is not expected to play for the Eagles (6-7) on Sunday (8:20 p.m. ET) against the host Los Angeles Rams (11-2). Given the time of the injury, Wentz — who is considered the face of the franchise — could be sidelined for the remainder of the season with Philadelphia residing two games behind the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys (8-5) with three games to play. The Eagles, however, are in the mix for a potential wild-card spot.
