Kenneth Murray – Noteworthy
SEPT 24 BIG 12 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kenneth Murray, LB, So., Oklahoma,…Murray registered a school-record 28 tackles (6 solo, 22 assists) in Oklahoma’s overtime victory over Army. Murray’s tackles are the most for an FBS player since the NCAA started tracking the stat in 2000. On Sunday, Murray was named the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week. The Big 12 accolade is the first for the sophomore. – Big 12 Football

SEPT 24 WALTER CAMP NATIONAL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: KENNETH MURRAY, OKLAHOMA, Sophomore, Linebacker, Missouri City, TX/Elkins…Linebacker Kenneth Murray set a school single-game record with 28 tackles, including as fifth-ranked Oklahoma held off Army-West Point, 28-21, in overtime. Murray (6 solo, 22 assisted) led a Sooner defensive unit that played 44:41 as the Black Knights dominated the possession game (79 offensive plays). Notes: Kenneth Murray is the eighth Oklahoma player to earn Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors since 2004, and the second this season (QB Kyler Murray, Sept. 9). – Walter Camp Football Foundation

SEPT 10 BIG 12 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kyler Murray, QB, R-Jr., Oklahoma,…Murray accounted for five touchdowns in Oklahoma’s 49-21 victory over UCLA. The redshirt junior went 19-of-33 through the air for 306 yards and three TD’s and rushed 10 times for 69 yards and a pair of scores.
