Ohio State player notes for Nov 6th, 2018

DreMont Jones – Noteworthy
DT Dre’Mont Jones had Ohio State’s only sack last Saturday in its 36-31 victory over Nebraska. He finished the game with four solo tackles and five total tackles, bringing his season totals to team bests of 10 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. The Bednarik Award semifinalist has at least one tackle for loss in seven consecutive games.

Dwayne Haskins Jr. – Noteworthy
QB Dwayne Haskins didn’t have his best day last week against Nebraska, but he was good enough to get the job done in Ohio State’s 36-31 victory. The negative: the redshirt sophomore fumbled twice and threw an interception. The positive: he completed 18-of-32 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. With 242 completions this year, Haskins broke the school season record of 240 set last year by J.T. Barrett.

Johnnie Dixon – Noteworthy
WR Johnnie Dixon led Ohio State in receiving last week with five catches for 96 yards, including a 42-yard touchdown on a pass from QB Dwayne Haskins to open the scoring the Buckeyes in the first quarter. With WR Austin Mack out after foot surgery, Dixon might continue to see more throws coming his way.

Jordan Fuller – Noteworthy
S Jordan Fuller was ejected from last Saturday’s 36-31 win over Nebraska on a targeting penalty. The suspension will keep him off the field in the first half for this week’s game against Michigan State.

Sean Nuernberger – Noteworthy – Injury
K Sean Nuernberger remained out for a third straight game with a leg injury. He was replaced by sophomore K Blake Haubeil, who kicked off six times but didn’t attempt a field goal in Ohio State’s 36-31 win over Nebraska last week.
