*Nick Bosa – Noteworthy
Nick Bosa will be scrutinized by everyone, regardless. Though scouts view him as the best defensive player available in this year’s draft class, there are some questions about his health and durability. Bosa withdrew early from Ohio State during his junior season to rehab a core muscle injury he suffered during the Buckeyes’ third game of the year. It was the second major surgery he’s had to undergo since his senior year at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas, when he suffered a torn ACL.
Bosa is “in perfect shape,” according to his father, John, who played defensive end for the Dolphins from 1987-89. Nick Bosa has been training for the combine for months now and he is expected to participate in every drill when defensive ends and linebackers are set to be on the field for workouts Saturday and Sunday. The goal is to prove he’s more than deserving of being selected first overall. “He’s always felt like that’s something he’s shooting for,” John Bosa told Albert Breer of SI.com. “That’s what you hope for. That’s what Joey was hoping for and that’s what Nick will hope for. These kids have been through it and understand it enough to know that anything can happen on draft day.” – AZCentral.com
