NFL Free Agents player notes for Oct 9th, 2018


*Vincent Valentine – Noteworthy – Transaction
DT Vincent Valentine was released from the practice squad by the Patriots Monday (Oct. 8). Valentine, 24, originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft pick (96th overall) by New England out of Nebraska in the 2016 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder appeared in 13 regular-season games with two starts as a rookie and tallied 19 tackles and one sack. Valentine also appeared in all three postseason contests as a reserve and posted two tackles. He began the 2017 season on the 53-man roster and was inactive for the first two games before being placed on injured reserve on Sept. 22, 2017. He was released at the end of training camp this year and was signed to the practice squad on Sept. 2.

Dalyn Dawkins – Noteworthy – Transaction
RB Dalyn Dawkins was placed on waivers by the Titans Monday (Oct. 8).

David Wells – Noteworthy – Transaction
TE David Wells was released from the practice squad by the Chiefs Monday (Oct. 8).

Deatrick Nichols – Noteworthy – Transaction
CB Deatrick Nichols was placed on waivers by the Cardinals Monday (Oct. 8).

J.J. Wilcox – Important – Transaction
S J.J. Wilcox had his contract terminated by the Jets Monday (Oct. 8).

Ralph Webb – Noteworthy – Transaction
RB Ralph Webb was released from the practice squad by the Patriots Monday (Oct. 8). Webb, 23, was originally signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent out Vanderbilt on May 11, 2018. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder, was released by the Patriots on the final cut-down and then signed to the New England practice squad on Sept. 2. He started all 49 games during his college career and is the school’s all-time leading rusher.

Tim White – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Tim White was placed on waivers by the Ravens Monday (Oct. 8).
