New York Giants player notes for Nov 1st, 2018

Jamon Brown – Noteworthy – Transaction
G Jamon Brown was claimed on waivers by the Giants from the Rams Wednesday (Oct. 31). Brown, 6-4 and 340 pounds, is a four-year veteran who has played in 42 regular-season games with 30 starts, and started the only postseason game in which he played, all with the Rams. Last season, he started all 17 games at right guard. This year, he played in six games for Los Angeles, which is the NFL’s only unbeaten team at 8-0. Brown missed the first two games while serving a suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Brown was a 2015 third-round draft choice, the 72nd overall selection. As a rookie, he started the season’s first nine games – six at left guard and three on the right side – before being placed on injured reserve with a lower leg fracture. The following season, he played in 11 games with five starts – two at left guard and one each at left guard, left tackle, and right tackle.
P Colton Schmidt was signed by the Bills Wednesday (Oct. 31). His contract had been terminated by the Bills Sept. 2.
