Nebraska player notes for Oct 9th, 2018

Eric Lee Jr. – Noteworthy
DB Eric Lee, seeing action in just his second game of the season against Wisconsin, tallied five tackles including two solos for his second-straight outing. Lee is projected to get his second start of the fall against Northwestern. “The mindset is just ‘keep fighting.’ We know how close we are,” Lee said. “We know that the little things are definitely killing us, and that’s what we are emphasizing in practice. We know what we are capable of, we just have to go out there and execute.”

JD Spielman – Noteworthy
WR J.D. Spielman, for the second straight outing, outperformed Stanley Morgan in the receiving corps, tallying 209 yards — a single-game record for Nebraska — on nine catches including a touchdown. Morgan was also impressive, hauling in eight catches for 93 yards. “I just know I’m glad we have them,” coach Scott Frost said. “Those two are warriors, they’re going to go battle. When we call those guys’ numbers they make plays. They’re where they’re supposed to be, they’re open. It’s been amazing to me, both of those guys, JD in particular, we had a lot of good scheme for him in the past game and when we called his number he made a play.”

Tyjon Lindsey – Noteworthy
WR Tyjon Lindsey, a highly-touted four-star recruit from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev., announced he will transfer.
