Cameron Malveaux – Noteworthy – Transaction
DE Cameron Malveaux was signed by the Dolphins from their practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 3). Malveaux played in four games with the Dolphins in 2017 after joining the team as an undrafted college free agent on May 5, 2017. He totaled five tackles (four solo) and one sack. Malveaux spent the rest of 2017 and part of the 2018 season on the Dolphins practice squad.
Cameron Wake – Noteworthy – Injury
DE Cam Wake missed Wednesday’s practice due to a knee injury.
Wake, Miami’s best pass rusher, is a key player given Miami’s injury and depth issues on the defensive line with William Hayes and Andre Branch hurt and Jordan Phillips released.
Daniel Kilgore – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
C Daniel Kilgore was placed on injured reserve and has been lost for the season.
Acquired in a March trade with the San Francisco 49ers, Kilgore started all four of Miami’s games this season until he suffered a triceps injury against the Patriots.
DeVante Parker – Noteworthy – Injury
WR DeVante Parker, who has played just one game this season, is injured yet again. He started the season with a finger injury. On Wednesday, he was limited in practice due to a quadriceps injury.
Garrison Smith – Noteworthy – Transaction
DT Garrison Smith was signed by the Dolphins to their practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 3). He had been waived by the Cardinals Sept. 18.
Reshad Jones – Noteworthy – Injury
S Reshad Jones, who has two interceptions in two games, missed the past two games due to a shoulder injury. But he appears poised to return against the Bengals and practiced in full on Wednesday.
Wesley Johnson – Noteworthy – Transaction
C Wesley Johnson was signed to give the team depth on the offensive line. The signing was needed after center Daniel Kilgore was lost for the season due to a triceps injury.

C Wesley Johnson was signed by the Dolphins Wednesday (Oct. 3). His contract had been terminated by the Lions Sept. 1. Johnson played in 41 games with 24 starts for the N.Y. Jets from 2015-17, with all 24 starts coming at center. He spent the 2018 offseason and training camp with Detroit before he was released on Sept. 1, 2018. Johnson originally entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (173rd overall) by Pittsburgh in the 2014 NFL draft before the Jets claimed him off waivers midway through the 2014 season.
