OCT 22 MAC EAST DIVISION SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kent State P Derek Adams…Kent State junior punter Derek Adams (Manheim, Pa.) had a career-long 77-yard punt in the third quarter, tying for the third longest punt in program history in his first game this season in a 24-23 (OT) loss to Akron. Late in the fourth quarter with the score tied, he flipped the field with a 73-yard punt. Adams averaged 46.4 yards on eight punts, none of which were returned.
