Jihad Ward – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
DT Jihad Ward (ankle) was placed on reserve/injured by the Colts Friday (Oct. 26). He is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks. Ward, 6-5, 290 pounds, has spent time on Indianapolis’ active roster and practice squad this season. He has played in 27 career NFL games (14 starts) in his time with the Colts (2018) and Oakland Raiders (2016-17) and has compiled 36 tackles (21 solo), 4.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and one fumble recovery. In 2018, Ward saw action in six games with Indianapolis and registered four solo tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.

Phillip Walker – Noteworthy – Transaction
QB Phillip Walker was signed by the Colts to the practice squad Friday (Oct. 26). He had been released by the Colts from the practice squad Wednesday. This is the fourth time he has been signed to the team’s practice squad this season. Walker, 5-11, 216 pounds, participated in the team’s 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during cuts to 53 players on September 1. Walker signed a reserve/future contract with the Colts on January 1, 2018. He spent the entire 2017 season on Indianapolis’ practice squad. Walker was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2017.

Steve Ishmael – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Steve Ishmael was signed by the Colts to their practice squad Friday (Oct. 26). He had been waived by the Sept. 1. Ishmael, 6-2, 212 pounds, has spent the entire season on the Colts practice squad. He participated in the team’s 2018 offseason program and training camp before being waived during cuts to 53 players on September 1. Ishmael was originally signed by Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2018.
