Aaron Rodgers – Noteworthy – Injury
QB Aaron Rodgers was limited participation on Wednesday with the left knee injury sustained in the season-opening game vs. Chicago. This was the first time since that injury in which he participated in the first practice of the week.
Davante Adams – Noteworthy
WR Davante Adams, Green Bay’s leading receiver with three consecutive games of 130-plus yards, expects to draw Stephon Gilmore, the Patriots’ top cornerback. Said fellow WR Geronimo Allison: “When he’s man-on-man, he’s Davante. When he’s doubled, he’s still Davante. He’s been dominating.”
Jermaine Whitehead – Noteworthy – Injury
S Jermaine Whitehead, who played linebacker for all but a handful of snaps in last week’s loss to the Rams, did not practice with a back injury.
Nick Perry – Noteworthy – Injury
OLB Nick Perry, who has 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble, did not participate at Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury.
Tra Carson – Noteworthy – Transaction
RB Tra Carson was signed by the Packers from their practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 31). Carson, a 5-foot-11, 228-pound second-year player, was signed to the Packers practice squad on Oct. 9. He was originally signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M on May 6, 2016. Carson spent almost all of his rookie season on the Bengals’ practice squad, was on injured reserve for the 2017 season and was waived/injured by the Bengals after Week 2 of this season.
Lavon Coleman – Noteworthy – Transaction
RB Lavon Coleman was signed by the Packers to the practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 31). He had been released by the Seahawks from the practice squad Oct. 23. Coleman, a 5-foot-11, 216-pound rookie out of the University of Washington, was originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 11. After being released by the Texans on Sept. 1, he spent some time on the practice squad of the Seahawks.
