Denver Broncos player notes for Nov 5th, 2018

Bradley Chubb – Noteworthy
LB Bradley Chubb extended his sack streak to four games. He had six tackles (five solo) and now has eight sacks this season.

Brandon McManus – Noteworthy
PK Brandon McManus missed a 51-yard field-goal attempt wide right as time expired and the Houston Texans hung on to beat the Denver Broncos 19-17 on Sunday for their sixth straight win.
“Extremely disappointed,” said McManus, who also was wide right with a 62-yard attempt just before halftime while converting a 44-yarder. “These guys battled and gave me a chance to win the game and I was terrible. I didn’t even give myself a chance.’

Jeff Heuerman – Noteworthy
TE Jeff Heuerman had his best game in his four-year career. He had career highs in receptions (10) and receiving yards (83) and caught a touchdown pass.
“He made some big plays for us on some crucial downs,” quarterback Case Keenum said. “Backed up, third down, he’s got great hands. He bounced back and had a solid game.”
Heuerman’s 10 receptions doubled his total from the first eight games, and his 83 receiving yards gives him 134 for the season. He showed he can handle a bigger workload.
“Jeff’s had a good year,” head coach Vance Joseph said. “He made a couple of great catches. Some low balls and broke some tackles and made some plays for us.”

Matt Paradis – Noteworthy – Injury
C Matt Paradis, a stalwart in the offensive line, went down with a lower leg injury late in the second quarter and did not return. Paradis, who was replaced by Connor McGovern, had entered the game having played in 3,850 consecutive snaps dating back to the start of his career in 2015.
Broncos coach Vance Joseph confirmed after the game that Paradis suffered a fractured fibula and is out indefinitely.
“It’s a huge loss, obviously, losing one of our captains and a guy who’s played a lot of football for us,” Joseph said.
