DT Maliek Collins (knee) didn’t practice on Wednesday. Garrett said in his Wednesday press conference that he expected Collins to be limited and only working out on the side.
Adolphus Washington – Noteworthy – Transaction
DL Adolphus Washington was signed off the Dallas Cowboys practice squad on Wednesday.
Washington was among the final cuts in Buffalo this season and totaled 56 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and three passes defended while starting 21 games in two seasons with the Bills.
Antwaun Woods – Noteworthy – Injury
DT Antwaun Woods has a groin injury and was limited in practice on Wednesday. He had four tackles at Seattle.
Caraun Reid – Noteworthy – Transaction
DT Caraun Reid was signed by the Cowboys Tuesday (Sept. 25). His contract had been terminated by the Cowboys Sept. 1.
Cole Beasley – Noteworthy – Injury
WR Cole Beasley was limited in practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury. Beasley had three catches for 46 yards against the Seahawks.
Datone Jones – Noteworthy – Injury
DT Datone Jones (knee) was placed Jones on injured reserve and DT Caraun Reid was signed on Tuesday. Jones went through full practices all week last week and played against the Seahawks, though he didn’t record a tackle.

DT Datone Jones was placed on reserve/injured (knee) by the Cowboys Tuesday (Sept. 25). He is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks.
David Irving – Noteworthy
DE David Irving is back with the Cowboys after spending training camp and the first week of the season dealing with personal issues. Irving is serving a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy. He worked out at the Cowboys’ headquarters in Frisco, Texas, but can’t attend practice until his suspension is over.
DeMarcus Lawrence – Noteworthy – Injury
Demarcus Lawrence is listed with a shoulder injury, but hasn’t appeared to be affected by the injury. He had three total tackles and half a sack at Seattle.
Jeff Heath – Noteworthy – Injury
S Jeff Heath briefly left the game in Seattle with an ankle injury, but was able to return. He was limited in practice on Wednesday.
Randy Gregory – Noteworthy – Injury
DE Randy Gregory came out of the game and entered the concussion protocol during the Cowboys’ season-opening loss at Carolina on Sunday. He didn’t play against the Giants, but returned to action in Seattle.
Sean Lee – Noteworthy – Injury
LB Sean Lee re-injured his hamstring and had to come out of the game against the Seahawks. Early indications this week were that Lee could be out for several weeks. Lee didn’t practice Wednesday. Rookie LB Leighton Vander Esch replaced Lee and led Dallas with nine solo tackles.
Travis Frederick – Noteworthy – Injury
C Travis Frederick: Frederick was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome in August. He has been undergoing treatment for the condition and was not put on injured reserve, clearing the way for him to return before Week 8. Frederick has said that there is no set timetable for his return to the field and that his status could change on a weekly basis. Joe Looney stepped into the starting lineup in Frederick’s place in the first three games.
Xavier Woods – Noteworthy
S Xavier Woods returned to the field against the Seahawks after a preseason hamstring injury kept him out of the first two contests. He recorded two solo tackles while splitting time with Kavon Frazier.
