Jalen Bates – Noteworthy
Former Arizona State Sun Devils defensive lineman Jalen Bates (96) has said he’ll transfer to Colorado State for his last season. The CSU football team added defensive line depth on Monday. Former Arizona State defensive end Jalen Bates announced that he’ll attend Colorado State University to play his final college football season. The 6-foot-4, 242-pound Bates spent four years at Arizona State and graduated in December. He’ll have one season of eligibility at CSU, and will be able to play this fall as a graduate transfer. He announced his decision to join the Rams on Twitter. Bates played in 13 games and had 31 tackles and six tackles for a loss last year. He was rated as a three-star recruit out of Kaplan High School (Louisiana) and had seven Power 5 offers in addition to Arizona State’s. He’ll likely battle for a starting defensive end position opposite Emmanuel Jones. – Fort Collins Coloradoan
