Blake Jackson – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Blake Jackson was signed by the Browns to their practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 16). He had been waived by the Browns Sept. 1. Jackson is 5-10, 200-pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Mary Hardin-Baylor. A quarterback in college, Jackson appeared in 39 games, passing for 4,311 yards and 49 touchdowns. He spent training camp with the Browns this season and had one reception for a 22-yard touchdown during the preseason. Jackson has also spent time in the CFL.
Da’Mari Scott – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Da’Mari Scott was signed by the Browns from their practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 16). Scott is a 6-0, 205 pound rookie out of Fresno State. Initially signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent, Scott has spent the first six weeks of the season on the club’s practice squad. He recorded eight receptions for 86 yards during the preseason.
Jake Eldrenkamp – Noteworthy – Transaction
C Jake Eldrenkamp was signed by the Browns to their practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 16). He had been waived by the Rams Sept. 1. Eldrenkamp is 6-5, 305 pounds and officially in his first NFL season out of Washington. Originally signed by the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2017, Eldrenkamp spent time on the Rams’ practice squad last year.
James Burgess – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
LB James Burgess Jr. (hamstring) was waived/injured by the Brtowns Tuesday (Oct. 16). He will be placed on reserve/injured if he clears waivers Wednesday. Burgess appeared in three games and totaled seven tackles this season.
Rod Streater – Important – Injury – Transaction
WR Rod Streater (neck) was placed on reserve/injured by the Browns Tuesday (Oct. 16). He is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks. Streater appeared in three games and recorded one special-teams tackle this season.
Xavier Woodson-Luster – Noteworthy – Transaction
LB Xavier Woodson-Luster was signed by the Browns from their practice squad Tuesday (Oct. 16). Woodson-Luster is 6-1, 220 pounds and in his second NFL season out of Arkansas State. Originally signed by Oakland as an undrafted free agent in 2017, he appeared in 14 games last year and registered seven tackles on defense and four on special teams. He spent training camp with the Bills this season and was signed to the Browns’ practice squad last week.
