Breshad Perriman – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Breshad Perriman was signed to Cleveland’s active roster Saturday. Perriman, a former first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens, worked out for the Browns Saturday morning, Cleveland.com reported. He is expected to be in uniform for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Perriman was among the final cuts of the Ravens in the preseason. He signed with the Washington Redskins last month but was released four days later. Perriman was the No. 26 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Derrick Willies – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
WR Derrick Willies (fractured collarbone) was placed on reserve/injured by the Browns Saturday (Oct. 13). Willies, who had an important reception in overtime that led to the winning field goal in the Browns’ victory over Baltimore, suffered the injury in practice Friday. He had appeared in all five games this season and recorded three receptions for 61 yards, all in last week’s game. He is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks.
Xavier Woodson-Luster – Noteworthy – Transaction
LB Xavier Woodson-Luster was signed by the Browns to their practice squad Saturday (Oct. 13). He had been waived by the Bills Sept. 1. Originally signed by Oakland as an undrafted free agent in 2017, he appeared in 14 games last year and registered seven tackles on defense and four on special teams. He spent training camp with the Bills this season.
