Cleveland Browns player notes for Dec 5th, 2018


Austin Corbett – Noteworthy – Injury
OL Austin Corbett (foot) did not practice. He was inactive against the Texans because of the injury.

Daniel Ekuale – Important – Transaction
DT Daniel Ekuale (Browns) was placed on practice-squad/suspended by the commissioner Wednesday (Dec. 5). Ekuale was signed by the Browns as an undrafted free agent in the spring and spent training camp with the team. He was added to the club’s practice squad following cuts to 53 players, which he was a member of for the entire regular season.

Daniel Williams – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Daniel Williams was signed by the Browns to their practice squad Wednesday (Dec. 5). He had been waived by the Redskins Sept. 1. Williams (6-3, 200), a first-year player, was originally signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2017 and spent part of last season on the Jets’ practice squad. He was signed by the Washington Redskins in August.

Denzel Ward – Noteworthy
CB Denzel Ward did not practice Wednesday. He was concussed last Sunday in Houston.

Duke Johnson – Noteworthy
RB Duke Johnson Jr. (personal reasons) did not practice Wednesday. He is expected to play against the Panthers.

JC Tretter – Noteworthy – Injury
C JC Tretter (ankle) did not practice. He has rested on Wednesdays since being injured Oct. 14 in the game against the Chargers.

Larry Ogunjobi – Noteworthy – Injury
DT Larry Ogunjobi (biceps) did not practice Wednesday. He was injured playing the Texans.

Mason Gentry – Noteworthy – Transaction
OL Mason Gentry was signed by the Browns to their practice squad Wednesday (Dec. 5). He had been waived by the Texans Sept. 1. Gentry (6-6, 300), a rookie out of Southern Methodist, was originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in May. He spent this offseason and training camp with the team before being waived during cuts to 53 players.
