Cleveland Browns player notes for Dec 11th, 2018


Austin Corbett – Noteworthy – Injury
OL Austin Corbett (foot) also did not play in Sunday’s game and is expected to miss Saturday’s game against Denver.

Denzel Ward – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Denzel Ward (concussion) did not play Sunday. He is undergoing the concussion protocol and his availability against Denver this Satuday is questionable.

JC Tretter – Noteworthy – Injury
C J.C. Tretter (ankle) has played through injury problems in recent weeks. Browns coach Gregg Williams said the team will assess Tretter’s condition late in the week to determine if he can play Saturday.

Nick Chubb – Noteworthy
RB Nick Chubb is on his way to a 1,000-yard rushing season. He is at 740 yards with a 5.3-yard average. He has eight rushing TDs. As a team, the Browns had just 11 rushing TDs last season.

Pharaoh Brown – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
TE Pharaoh Brown (shoulder) was placed on reserve/injured by the Browns Saturday (Dec. 8). While he would normally be eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and playing in eight weeks, the first game he would be available would be the Super Bowl. Brown was inactive for the previous five games and also spent four weeks on the team’s practice squad. He was limited after leaving Friday’s practice with a shoulder injury.

Phillip Gaines – Noteworthy – Injury
CB Phillip Gaines (knee) missed last week’s game against the Panthers and is doubtful to play this week against the Broncos.

Terrance Mitchell – Important – Injury – Transaction
CB Terrance Mitchell was activated from reserve/injured; designated for return by the Browns Saturday (Dec. 8). Mitchell, who joined the Browns as an unrestricted free agent this year, started each of the first four games this season. He recorded 19 tackles, one interception, three passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He fractured his wrist in the second quarter at Oakland on Sept. 30, and was placed on injured reserve on Oct. 2.
