Trevor Lawrence – Noteworthy
Ever since his performance in the CFB Playoff-and in some cases before then- people have said that Clemson football quarterback Trevor Lawrence will be the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft two years from now. Analysts see the skill, measurables and IQ- all combined together. Lawrence is the perfect NFL quarterback. Because of that skill and talent- and because he is just a freshman- many have speculated or took the stance that Lawrence should just sit out his next two years with Clemson football. Even if Lawrence decided to sit out the next two years, there’s a good chance he’d still be the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. He’s just that good. Some believe that Lawrence should go ahead and join the AAF and play a couple of years of paid football before going to the NFL.
Lawrence spoke with the media after Monday’s practice and was asked about the speculation of him sitting out his College Football career. “Nah, no,” Lawrence said via The State. Everyone’s talking about that, but I don’t really care about that. It’s definitely not coming from me, all that stuff, so just kind of ignoring it and keep working. I think it’s just a different experience being able to go to school with guys your age, to be able to through this experience of being in college. And it’s a grind balancing school and football and all of that stuff, but getting to meet new people and make friends outside of football, I think it’s really important to do.” – Rubbing The Rock
