Demetrious Cox – Noteworthy – Transaction
S Demetrious Cox was signed by the Bengals to their practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 10). He was released by the Cardinals from their practice squad Oct. 2. Cox (6-0, 200), a second-year player out of Michigan State, entered the NFL in 2017 as a college free agent signee of Cincinnati. He spent the 2017 preseason with the Bengals, before joining the Carolina Panthers, where he totaled four tackles in four games played. He was with the Panthers in training camp this year.
Matt Lengel – Noteworthy – Transaction
TE Matt Lengel was signed by the Bengals to their practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 10) from the Texans practice squad. Lengel (6-7, 266), a third-year player out of Eastern Kentucky University, entered the NFL as a college free-agent signee of the Bengals in 2015 and spent the ’15 season and half of the ’16 season on the team’s practice squad. He also has spent time in the 2016 and ’17 seasons on the active rosters of the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns. He has played in six NFL games, with career regular-season totals of two catches for 22 yards and a touchdown.
