*Carl Lawson – Noteworthy – Injury – Transaction
LB Carl Lawson (knee) was placed on reserve/injured by the Bengals Monday (Nov. 5). He is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks. Lawson, a second-year player, suffered his injury vs. Tampa Bay last week. He played in all eight of the team’s games this season and had six tackles, including one sack.

A.J. Green – Important – Injury
WR A.J. Green had a specialist examine his injured toe, and head coach Marvin Lewis said on Monday that Green will not need surgery. Lewis said Green will be “fine,” but did not provide a timetable for Green’s return. The coach did not rule Green out for this week’s game against the New Orleans Saints. When asked whether Green would play Sunday, Green said after practice, “We’ll see.”
However, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Green will miss two weeks, and then he will be reevaluated.

Andrew Vollert – Noteworthy – Transaction
TE Andrew Vollert was signed by the Bengals to the practice squad Monday (Nov. 5). He had been released by the Cardinals from the practice squad Oct. 30. Vollert (6-5, 245), a rookie out of Weber State, originally signed with Arizona as a college free agent in May. He played in all four preseason games for the Cardinals, and caught eight passes for 55 yards. He was waived during cuts to 53 players , then signed to the Cardinals’ practice squad, where he spent the first eight games of the season.
Auden Tate – Noteworthy – Transaction
WR Auden Tate was promoted from practice squad to active roster.
Clark Harris – Important – Transaction
LS Clark Harris signed a two-year extension through the 2020 season with the Bengals Monday (Nov. 5). He has been a reliable long snapper since first signing with Cincinnati as a free agent in 2009. He has had no unplayable snaps in 1,364 attempts as a Bengal (727 punts, 637 placekicks). Harris, who also has 31 special teams tackles during that span, was named to the Pro Bowl after the 2017 season.
Connor Cook – Noteworthy – Transaction
QB Connor Cook was signed by the Bengals to the practice squad Monday (Nov. 5). He had been released by the Panthers from the practice squad Oct. 9. Cook (6-4, 215), a third-year player out of Michigan State, was originally a fourth-round draft pick of Oakland in 2016. He played in one regular-season game for the Raiders, and completed 14 of 21 passes for 150 yards, with one TD and one INT. He was released by Oakland during cuts to 53 this season, before later spending time on Carolina’s practice squad.
