Andre Smith – Important – Transaction
T Andre Smith was signed by the Bengals Thursday (Nov. 30). He had waived by the Cardinals Monday. Smith (6-4, 325), a 10th-year veteran, originally was the Bengals’ first-round draft pick (sixth overall) out of Alabama in 2009 and spent eight of his previous nine NFL seasons with Cincinnati. He played with the team from 2009-15, then spent one season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2016 before returning to Cincinnati for 2017. Smith had signed with Arizona as an unrestricted free agent in March, and played in eight of the Cardinals’ first 11 games before being waived on Monday.

Jake Fisher – Important – Injury – Transaction
T Jake Fisher was placed on reserve/injured by the Bengals Thursday (Nov. 30). While he would normally eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and playing in eight weeks, the first game he would be available would be the Super Bowl. Fisher, a fourth-year player, suffered a back injury on Sunday vs. Cleveland. He had played in all 11 of the Bengals’ games this season and had started the Browns game at left tackle.
