Buffalo Bills player notes for Oct 23rd, 2018

Charles Clay – Noteworthy
TE Charles Clay caught two passes for 14 yards, and he also lost a critical fumble in the second quarter that cost the Bills points in what was then a 6-0 game.

Chris Ivory – Noteworthy
RB Chris Ivory was pressed into elongated duty with McCoy’s injury and he responded with 16 carries for 81 yards and three pass receptions for 25 yards.

Corey Bojorquez – Noteworthy
P Corey Bojorquez had another good game as he averaged 46.3 net yards on four punts, with three downed inside the 20.

Derek Anderson – Noteworthy
QB Derek Anderson had a mostly miserable debut with the Bills. He completed 20 of 31 passes for 175 yards which didn’t look awful, until you factor in his three interceptions and one lost fumble, turnovers that helped set up 17 Colts points.

Kelvin Benjamin – Noteworthy
WR Kelvin Benjamin had his best game of the season, not that it was all that earth-shattering. He caught four passes for 71 yards, the yardage total being his best since he came to the Bills midway through 2017.

LeSean McCoy – Noteworthy – Injury
RB LeSean McCoy left the game after his second carry with a concussion and never returned. He is in protocol and his condition will be updated possibly on Thursday.

Marcus Murphy – Noteworthy
RB Marcus Murphy was pressed into duty as the No. 2 RB after McCoy got hurt and he had 53 yards on four carries, and he also served as punt the kickoff returner. He averaged 16 yards on three kick returns.

Taron Johnson – Noteworthy
CB Taron Johnson has been a nice fourth-round find for the Bills and he had a decent day in coverage and was in on seven tackles.

Tremaine Edmunds – Noteworthy
LB Tremaine Edmunds led the Bills with seven tackles and he had a nice pass breakup on a throw over the middle, but it was not a great day for the rookie who fell victim to some creating scheming by the Colts.

Trent Murphy – Noteworthy – Injury
DE Trent Murphy suffered a knee injury in the game, and Sean McDermott said Monday he’ll be week to week.
