Chris Lindstrom – Noteworthy
Chris Lindstrom can’t think of a better way to spend his birthday. Lindstrom, the former Shepherd Hill Regional star who wrapped up an All-America career at Boston College in December, turns 22 Thursday, the third day of the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Lindstrom, who anchored the right side of BC’s offensive line the last three-plus seasons, was one of seven Boston College players invited to the combine, where top prospects are interviewed, tested and evaluated by top executives, coaching staffs, player personnel departments and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams.
“It’s really something special,” Lindstrom said in a phone interview from Miami, where he has been training for the combine since January at Bommarito Performance Systems, “It’s something you dream about – a lot of kids dream about becoming a professional football player, and this is a big step in becoming that. It’s definitely something I’ve always looked forward to. Now that it’s arriving it still hasn’t hit me.” The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Lindstrom, who played in every game of his college career and made 49 straight starts, earned All-ACC first-team honors at right guard last season, was an Associated Press third-team All-American and was invited to the Senior Bowl. He was an All-ACC second-team selection at right tackle in 2017. Lindstrom graded out as BC’s top offensive lineman each of the last two seasons. – Worcester Telegram
