Baylor player notes for Oct 9th, 2018


Denzel Mims – Noteworthy
WR Denzel Mims, who posted a season-high for catches against Oklahoma, had another excellent game in the win over Kansas State. He caught eight balls for 90 yards, including a circus catch in the corner of the end zone that pulled Baylor even with the Wildcats in the fourth quarter.

Jalen Hurd – Noteworthy
WR Jalen Hurd showed up as the Bears’ most valuable offensive player against Kansas State, catching 11 passes for 135 yards and also running eight times for 57 yards and a touchdown.

John Lovett – Noteworthy – Injury
RB John Lovett left the Oklahoma game with a head injury and is in the concussion protocol. Coach Matt Rhule said Monday that Lovett will be back in action this week versus Texas.

Verkedric Vaughns – Noteworthy – Injury
S Verkedric Vaughns missed the Kansas State with an ankle injury. Coach Matt Rhule said he could have played and was suited up on an as-needed basis against Kansas State. The Baylor coach said he expects Vaughns back this week.
