Baltimore Ravens player notes for Nov 19th, 2018

Gus Edwards – Noteworthy
RB Gus Edwards had a breakout performance, finishing with 115 yards on 17 carries with a touchdown. It was the first time Baltimore had a pair of 100-yard rushers in a game since Dec. 23, 2012 against the New York Giants.
“I knew if I got my opportunity, I had to make the best of it,” Edwards said. “That’s how I go through every week — make the best out of every opportunity I get.”

Lamar Jackson – Noteworthy
QB Lamar Jackson will receive his first NFL start at quarterback on Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens host the Cincinnati Bengals, multiple media outlets reported. Joe Flacco has been ruled inactive after missing practice all week with a hip injury. Robert Griffin III will serve as the backup for the Ravens (4-5) in their game against the Bengals (5-4) despite receiving substantial work with the first-team offense Thursday as Jackson missed practice with a stomach ailment. Jackson was the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner and the Ravens’ first-round pick (No. 32 overall) out of Louisville. The 21-year-old completed 7 of 12 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown, in addition to rushing 28 times for 139 yards and another score.
