Gus Edwards – Noteworthy
RB Gus Edwards gave Baltimore a commanding 17-9 lead with a 10-yard run on the opening drive of the third quarter in the Ravens’ win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. Edwards finished with 104 yards on 19 carries. “Right now, we have a good thing going” Edwards said. “We’re trying to build on that each game and keep it working. We feel the fourth quarter belongs to us. And we’ll run out the clock every time if we have to.”
Lamar Jackson – Noteworthy
QB Lamar Jackson ran for 95 yards and threw for 131 yards with a touchdown to lead Baltimore past Tampa Bay 20-12 on Sunday. Jackson has gone 4-1 since taking over as the starter for Joe Flacco, who suffered a right hip injury on Nov. 4. “We have to make stuff positive and our job is to win the game, not put our defense out there with no points or put them in bad field position,” Jackson said. “So, we have to do a good job punching it in. We just have to score points.” Jackson executed the two-minute offense and put together a 63-yard drive that ended with a 24-yard field goal by Tucker in the final seconds of the second quarter.
