Atlanta Falcons player notes for Oct 24th, 2018


Austin Pasztor – Noteworthy – Transaction
G/T Austin Pasztor was signed by the Falcons Wednesday (Oct. 24). His contract had been terminated by the Falcons Aug. 31. Pasztor was signed by the Falcons during training camp in 2017. During the 2017 season, he saw action in seven games. Pasztor was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings a few weeks before the start of the 2012 season. After being released by the Vikings, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Pasztor to their practice squad in 2012. The 6-foot-7 tackle out of Virginia went on to play in 26 games, with 23 starts over three years for the Jaguars. Pasztor was then claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Browns in 2015. He went on to play every game for the Browns that season while starting in four. In 2016, he played and started in all 16 games for Cleveland.

Brandon Fusco – Important – Injury – Transaction
G Brandon Fusco (ankle) was placed on reserve/injured by the Falcons Wednesday (Oct. 24). He is eligible to be designated for return and begin practicing after missing at least six weeks and can play after eight weeks. Fusco was signed by the Falcons this offseason and won the starting right guard position in training camp. Fusco started in seven games before being injured and was a part of an offense that averaged 401.0 yards per game.

Giorgio Tavecchio – Important
K Giorgio Tavecchio was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after going 3-for-3 on field goals — including a 56-yard attempt — in a 23-20 win over the New York Giants on Monday.

Rees Odhiambo – Noteworthy – Transaction
T/G Rees Odhiambo was signed by the Falcons to their practice squad Wednesday (Oct. 24) from the Colts practice squad. Odhiambo was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round of the 2016 draft. In his first two seasons in the league, he played in 15 games with seven starts with Seattle. The Kenyan native has spent the last four weeks on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.
