The 31-year-old will be reunited with Atlanta coach Dan Quinn, who spent two seasons as Irvin’s defensive coordinator with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013-14.

Jones, who is on the Injured Reserve List, tested the condition of his injured foot last week, but did not take part in practice. Jones is not eligible to come off injured reserve and play this week against the Cleveland Browns, but he could play in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys if all goes well in practice over the next two weeks.

K Matt Bryant’s status won’t likely be known until game time. There is no reason to rush Bryant’s return given the success of Giorgia Tavecchio the last two games.
