GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Auburn’s run defense will be facing another test (though obviously not as challenging as Georgia was last week) with Liberty RBs Peytton Pickett and Frankie Hickson coming off impressive performances in Liberty’s loss to Virginia last week. Pickett rushed for 117 yards on 17 carries, Hickson for 93 yards and two scores on 26 carries. Hickson has rushed for 771 yards and 10 touchdowns. Pickett has run for nine scores and 425 yards.

DRAFT SLANT

–DE Derrick Brown (6-5, 320) is only a junior but is rated among the top 15 defensive prospects on NFLDraftScout.com’s list. He is an imposing run stuffer who has 9.5 tackles for loss among his 37 stops. He has 3.5 sacks and been credited with five quarterback hurries.

ROSTER REPORT:

–RB Jatarvious Whitlow is dealing with an ankle injury but played against Georgia despite not being 100 percent. Whitlow attempted the first pass of his career in the loss to Georgia, and it for 9 yards and a touchdown to TE John Samuel Shenker, another redshirt freshman.

–DE Nick Coe will miss the home finale against Liberty because of a wrist injury sustained against Georgia last week. He has 13.5 tackles for loss (7.0 sacks) among his 27 tackles.

–CB Javaris Davis is considered day-to-day after missing last week’s game against Georgia with an ankle injury. He has 28 tackles and an interception return of 57 yards.

–DE Big Kat Bryant was flagged for targeting and ejected against Georgia last week, but because the incident occurred in the second quarter he will be eligible from the start of the game this week. He is listed as a backup to DE Marlon Davidson on the depth chart but has one start. He has 14 tackles with 2.5 sacks.
