GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Texas Tech QB Jett Duffey vs. Texas front seven. Duffey made just enough plays to help Texas Tech defeat TCU in Fort Worth in October. He has rare play-making ability, but his decision-making has been questionable at times. Texas has a talented group of defensive linemen and linebackers, so it will be imperative for Duffey to know when to pass and when to tuck the ball and run in order to consistently move the Red Raider offense.

DRAFT SLANT

–LB Dakota Allen started the Oklahoma game with one hand heavily wrapped to protect a fracture. He made a tackle with the pad-club, but then a knee injury knocked him out of the contest. It’s unclear whether Allen is out for the season as Texas Tech isn’t overly transparent with injury reports.

ROSTER REPORT:

–QB Alan Bowman left the Oklahoma game with a re-occurrence of the lung injury that caused him to miss the TCU game. Initial reports were that the re-occurrence is less severe than the original injury, but Bowman was still in the hospital as of Tuesday and he’s doubtful to play this week against Texas.

–LB Dakota Allen left the Oklahoma game with a knee injury. Kingsbury said he’s day-to-day and the team will see if he can play on Saturday.

–RB Tre King missed the last two games dealing with a knee injury. He will be a game-time decision against Texas.
