GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: Florida pass defense vs. Missouri QB Drew Lock. Florida’s pass defense ranks 12th nationally allowing just 170.1 yards per game. But UF’s secondary will face a tough test against Lock, one of the top quarterbacks in college football. Lock passed for 44 TD passes last season and this season as a senior has passed for 2,144 yards with 16 TDs and six interceptions. Look for Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham to dial up pressure against Lock to keep him off balance.
DRAFT SLANT
–DL Cece Jefferson has had a disappointing season for the most part but the 6-foot-1, 252-pound senior showed signs of life in the Georgia game with a tackle for loss during Florida’s goal line stand and with a QB hurry. Jefferson has 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles and a safety on the season and will need to improve his production between now and the end of the season to boost his draft stock.
ROSTER REPORT:
–CB C.J. Henderson is probable for Missouri. Henderson suffered a bruised back in the first quarter of the Georgia game after a collision with DL Adam Shuler and did not return.
–S Brad Stewart did not play against Georgia for undisclosed reasons after starting the previous five games. Florida coach Dan Mullen would not confirm or deny if Stewart was suspended, or if he will play this week against Missouri.
–CB Brian Edwards has not played the last two games on defense, but is not hurt, according to coach Dan Mullen. Edwards has contributed on special teams, Mullen said.
