GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Texas Tech LBs vs. Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray. Texas Tech has played its share of mobile quarterbacks this season, but probably none as accomplished as Murray. Red Raider LBs Dakota Allen, Jordyn Brooks and Riko Jeffers are all having outstanding seasons, but they’ll need to up their games even more to slow down the Sooners’ QB.

DRAFT SLANT

–LB Dakota Allen posted 16 tackles against Iowa State, 14 of which were assisted stops. He also had a solo TFL and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown that tied the game at 31.

ROSTER REPORT:

–LB Jordyn Brooks was ejected from the Iowa State game for targeting. The ejection came early in the second quarter, so Brooks will be eligible to play the full game against Oklahoma this week.

–RB Da’Leon Ward has been sidelined most of the season with a groin injury suffered in the Ole Miss game. He played briefly against TCU but missed the Kansas game. He returned to action as the Red Raiders’ primary rusher against Iowa State.

–RB Tre King missed the Iowa State game dealing with an undisclosed illness or injury. Kingsbury said King possibly could have played against the Cyclones but was held out for precautionary reasons. King will be a game-time decision against Oklahoma.

–DE Tony Jones exited the TCU game with a lower-leg injury and missed the Kansas game. He returned to action against Iowa State and had four tackles, including a TFL.
