GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Utah has the top-rated defense in the Pac-12, yielding only 286.4 yards a game while UCLA’s offense is last in the conference averaging 354 yards. The Bruins will find it difficult to score points after averaging 34 points in the last two games against lesser competition (Cal and Arizona).

DRAFT SLANT

–P Mitch Wishnowsky had three punts for 143 yards (47.7-yard average) against USC last week. He landed one punt inside the 10-yard line (his eighth at or inside the 10-yard line this year) and also had two punts for 50-plus yards.

ROSTER REPORT:

–QB Jack Tuttle, a highly-touted true freshman from Mission Hills (Calif.), has left the program and intends to transfer.

–C Lo Falemaka is nursing an apparent leg injury suffered last month. He has not played in the last three games. Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said last week Falemaka was likely to play against USC but he did not. Falemaka’s status for Friday’s game at UCLA is questionable.

–WR Siaosi Mariner has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury. His status for the UCLA game is uncertain.
