GAME BREAKDOWN
KEY MATCHUP: Miami was averaging 41.5 points per game before being held to 13 at Virginia last time out. Coach Mark Richt is switching back to Malik Rosier (from N’Kosi Perry) at quarterback but said Perry will see time. Regardless of who is taking the snaps, the BC defense will be tested in what is a very important game for both teams. If the Eagles can make life miserable for both quarterbacks it will help them get that sixth win of the season.
DRAFT SLANT
–DE Zach Allen continues to impress the pro scouts. NFLDraftScout.com has him rated as the No. 2 defensive end in the country. With All-American Harold Landry hurt for most of last season, Allen led the charge for the Eagles up front. He is an athletic DE who was able to fly through the air to pick up a fumble in the loss at Purdue. In the last game, a win over Louisville, he was in on seven tackles, three of them for loss, one a sack.
ROSTER REPORT:
–RB AJ Dillon rolled his left ankle in the win over Temple and missed the past two games. Without the usual media access on Monday there was no word on Dillon’s availability for this week’s game against Miami.
–DE Zach Allen was named as one of the 20 quarterfinalists for the Lott IMPACT Trophy that goes to the nation’s top defensive player — both on and off the field.
–DE Wyatt Ray had three of BC’s seven sacks in the Louisville game and moved into the BC top 10 with 16 career sacks.
–TE Tommy Sweeney had five catches in the win over Louisville and his 84 career catches are sixth all-time by a BC tight end — 30th overall on the school list.
–RB Travis Levy has recovered a blocked punt in the end zone each of the last two games, BC’s third and fourth non-offensive touchdowns of the season.
–RG Chris Lindstrom was named offensive lineman of the week for his play in the Louisville game.
–Freshman RB David Bailey ran for 112 yards on 28 carries against Louisville.
