GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Vanderbilt has allowed 5.9 yards per rush in its last 10 Southeastern Conference games, and gave up 6.4 per rush against Georgia. The Commodores, who run a base 3-4 and often bring two linebackers up to the line of scrimmage, used four defensive linemen at a time in spurts last week, and there may be more of that to come. Florida averages 5.2 yards per rush, and split most of its reps between Jordan Scarlett (54 carries, 268 yards, two TDs, 5.0 ypc) and Lamical Perine (46-255-2-5.5).

DRAFT SLANT

–CB JoeJuan Williams had been excellent most of the last two seasons, but didn’t play well two weeks ago, and was poor against Georgia, giving up a pair of touchdowns. VU’s junior is probably the team’s best defender, and he’ll look to get back on track against Florida.

ROSTER REPORT:

–FS Frank Coppet started the Georgia game — his first start since the opener–and played 55 snaps according to Pro Football Focus. He had five tackles, all solo.

–FS Zaire Jones, the team’s starter coming into the season, didn’t start against Georgia and played just five snaps. Jones was suspended the first three games, started in Week Four vs. South Carolina, and didn’t start the last two games, and had 30 snaps against Tennessee State in Week Five.

–OLB Charles Wright was a full go at Tuesday’s practice and is expected back this week after missing last week with an undisclosed injury.

–ILB Colin Anderson, who started the opener, hasn’t played since due to an undisclosed injury, but is expected back this season.
