GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Duke’s offensive line vs. N.C. Central’s defensive front. If this had been the season opener there might have been more questions about Duke’s starting line on the offensive side, but that group has proven quite capable through three games. The Blue Devils would still like to get more out of their rushing attack and this figures to be a prime opportunity. N.C. Central doesn’t have the beef up front to match Duke in a straight power attack, so the Eagles will have to use schemes to adjust and make a difference at the line of scrimmage.

DRAFT SLANT

–LB Joe Giles-Harris is one most acclaimed defenders in recent Duke history. His ability to get to ball carriers is impressive and he’ll be looking to build on a season in which he gained national recognition in 2017. “We know what he can do,” coach David Cutcliffe said. “He can be real physical.” Giles-Harris has averaged one tackle of loss per game in his career with Duke.

ROSTER REPORT

–C Zach Harmon sat out with an injury in the Baylor game. Team officials said he was available for spot duty if necessary.

–DB Michael Carter II suffered a leg injury in the Baylor game, creating another question in the secondary.

–C Jack Wohlabaugh, a redshirt sophomore who transferred from Ohio State, was named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his efforts in the Baylor game. He made his first collegiate start in the game and graded out best among Duke offensive linemen.
