GAME BREAKDOWN

KEY MATCHUP: Saturday’s matchup for Texas A&M, its third against a ranked opponent in 2018 after losses to Clemson and Alabama, will come down to how well the Aggies can stop the prolific rushing attack of Kentucky. The Aggies rank No. 6 in the FBS ranks in rushing defense, giving up just 85 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, Kentucky ranks No. 12 in rushing offense, piling up an average of 254.2 rushing yards per game. The Wildcats are led on the ground by Benny Snell Jr., who leads the SEC with 639 rushing yards on 115 carries.

“We do pretty well against the run, so that shouldn’t be a big deal for us,” Texas A&M defensive end Kingsley Keke said. “But they run the ball really well with Benny Snell so we’ll be ready to play.”

DRAFT SLANT

–DE Kingsley Keke: One of the more promising draft prospects on the Aggies’ roster, Keke will look to back up his big talk on Saturday against one of the SEC’s supreme offenses so far in 2018. So far this fall, he has 19 tackles, five of them for a loss, and three sacks.

ROSTER REPORT:

–WR Jhamon Ausbon (foot injury) is out indefinitely.

–QB Kellen Mond has tallied 757 total yards of offense in his two games against ranked opponents — Clemson and Alabama — so far this season.
